Mrs Andrea Rolland

I am really annoyed when people do things but don't think about how it affects anyone else!

What do you like doing in your spare time?
I love taking my dogs to the beach down the road but at the risk of revealing one of my really dorky secrets I am a very big lover of embroidery and intricate stitchery!

A serve of take away Thai and a big glass of sparkling mineral water with a slice of lemon.

If you could have any magical gifts, what would it be?
Click my fingers to get things I have forgotten in the office to land on my lap.

My car keys and and a pair of shoes on my feet.

What’s one thing you never leave home without? Well it’s a bit of a combo deal, I always check that I have my Wallet and Phone in my pocket.

Do you have a special talent we should know about? It depends what you call ‘special’. Lately my clumsiness has left body with a few scars.

Any dirt on the other SLU teachers…? My mother always said ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all’, but if you come I will write it down for you.

Miss Lauren Brown

Hi Bloggers! Here's a little bit of information that you may or may not have already known about me! I have travelled much at all in my life (in fact, I've never been out of Australia!) but my favourite holiday destination so far in life would have to be Queensland and going to Movieworld when I was 23 (yes, only two years ago!!) and it was the most fun! A felt like a giant kid, going on the rides, having photos with the Scooby Doo gang and watching the parade at the end of the day. Brilliant!
I LOVE reading! Therefore, I have a couple of favourite authors: I have enjoyed enjoyed the clever rhyming of Dr.Seuss and the imagination of Enid Blyton. As an adult, I enjoy reading Marian Keyes and any kind of historical fiction.
I have a couple of things that really annoy me, such as: slow drivers (how hard is it to do the speed limit?!), people chewing with their mouth open is so gross and I have a serious foot phobia; I can't handle seeing anyone's bare feet!! So never show me yours or I may vomit....
When I was younger I always wanted to have magical powers; one of my favourite childhood movies was Matilda and I tried so hard to move objects with my eyes, but I could never do it :( I also want to be able to fly. And be invisible. Any magical power would be the best!!
Unfortunately readers, I have no special talents. I have neat handwriting and am quite creative, so I can make creative displays and make things look good. I can kind of draw, I can kind of sing, but neither of them well!
I'm pretty new to Bellaire so I don't have a lot of dirt on any of the other teachers!! Although, something that you may not have known is that Miss Hickman and I went to university together in Ballarat for four years! So I have a little bit of dirt on her....
Hopefully you feel as though you know me a little bit more!

Miss Brown.

Mr Andrew Thomas

What is your favourite holiday destination? Somewhere warm, with a great beach break and a huge, warm pool to play in.

Who is your favourite author? I’m a sucker for war books and autobiographies of musicians and athletes.

What really, really annoys you? That I’ve had a bad hair day for all of my life!

What do you like doing in your spare time? Plenty of swimming , riding, running, playing all sorts of games with my son Will and building whatever I want using some of those expensive tools my wife hates me buying!

What would be your best ever meal and drink combo? Easy! A tuna milkshake to wash down fish and chips in a cheese and bacon roll!

If you could have any magical gifts, what would it be? Flying would be pretty cool…

What’s one thing you never leave home without? Clean underwear…well…mostly clean!

Do you have a special talent we should know about?  I’m a four time Australian Jazz Ballet title holder...and once took 3 months to thread a sewing machine in textiles at high school!

Any dirt on the other SLU teachers…does being arrested count as dirt? If it does, then you should talk to…

Mrs Michelle Douglas
Coming soon...
